Calling all Christmas lovers!

I have some news! I am part of a wonderfully talented group and have been kindly invited to join them on this Love, Christmas 2 Collection.

But before I venture further into that, I wanted to talk about changes in my world. So, its August, the month where U.S. children return to school. Remember we have 11 children (long, complicated story. OF COURSE, I’m writing a book about it but not in this arena. I’ll keep you updated as there are updates.)

But, for now, lets focus on the new upcoming events. I have the first book of Cian and Molly’s story done and the remaining two of the trilogy outlined. WHEW! I’m excited to finish them and that is the only WIPS I am working on as I promised to have it earlier in the summer and things…LIFE… got in the way.

Anyway, we are homeschooling again this year but adding our 8th grader (our youngest. Her brother will graduate in November with plans to go to college in January.) Hope the heat moderates for us ALL!

Hello again,

I have news… I have a new book out called Piper’s Plan and I have reading recommendations below but first, lets talk about relationships.

Relationships are hard work. I know, not news to anyone who had tried to keep the romance in the relationship but in a D/s relationship, while the romance books will tell you there is a bump in the road and then the Dom takes over and life is good, that is far from the truth.

I have just celebrated my 39th anniversary so I know a few things. We were young when we married. We were rather mature for our ages and that had helped tremendously, my husband having very particular expectations for his life and ours together. I am headstrong and he is quietly insistent.

We didn’t fight for the first two years and we don’t now, but there was a few years that I had to learn to take his lead and he learned to give on somethings, very much like my O’Connor and Chase Abbey Series, experience talks. We had children. We adopted more.

He has learned to give me my space and I have learned to follow his lead. Did it happen overnight? Hell, no! Does he still take a deep breath and smack my butt on occasion for more than sex? Do I still roll my eyes? Yes, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

That fear at least was quelled when the marshal held the door open to her and then promptly locked it behind himself. They were alone in the room. She stood frozen, looking at the empty tubs in the center of the room.

“Go ahead and undress while I fill the tub.” The man walked right by her. She couldn’t believe he expected her to just disrobe. Then she remembered that though there was no concealing wall or even a curtain between the two tubs, there was a privacy screen in one corner. She forced herself not to run towards it though she was suddenly desperate to hide behind its concealment.

“Oh, no, ladybug. You will be naked before me, so there is no reason for you to hide yourself over there. You can just strip right where you are.”

She glared at him as mortification filled every part of her being. He was bent on shaming her. This wasn’t just some conquest or a prize won and savored. He meant to humiliate her. She turned away from him and her fingers came to the buttons at her neck with trepidation at first. Then slowly as she made it down the row, her irritation built until she stood tall and proud. She would not cower before him or allow herself to be shamed. She was a beautiful, independent woman. She would not let him know how much he affected her.

She stalled only a moment more before pulling her dress from her shoulders. It slid down her sides and landed in a puddle at her feet. Delaney felt naked already and she still had her chemise and petticoat before she even got to her… unmentionables. A chat with Maggie Ryan

I enjoy writing about characters that enjoy the provocative D/S lifestyle of today’s times, as well as taking a step back into the past to write stories that take place in the Victorian era with age-play as a theme.

I live in the great Lone Star state with my wonderful husband. I have always loved reading. Growing up in a family with four children, it was difficult finding a place to be alone. I was probably one of the squeakiest clean girls on the planet as I would spend hours in the tub so I could read without being bothered. It wasn’t long before I began to make up my own endings to the books I was reading. From there, it just seemed natural to begin writing my own stories.

I never try to restrict myself to any one genre because there are just too many delicious possibilities out there and inside my head. I admit to being somewhat of a romantic, though, as my stories always must have a great deal of love, passion, corporal discipline and, of course, great, mind-blowing sex. I want my readers to be able to see, hear, feel and know the characters that I’m creating as well as I do when I bring them to life and transfer their stories to paper. I want my women to be strong of character but also strong enough to know that submission given in love and trust to your partner does not make you weaker, it makes you far stronger. I want my men to be sexy, strong, demanding alpha males who know how to take what they want while acknowledging it is a gift they have been blessed with by the women that have chosen to submit to them. I want there to be no doubt that they truly would die for the other no matter how others might view their relationship.
