I have some news! I am part of a wonderfully talented group and have been kindly invited to join them on this Love, Christmas 2 Collection.
But before I venture further into that, I wanted to talk about changes in my world. So, its August, the month where U.S. children return to school. Remember we have 11 children (long, complicated story. OF COURSE, I’m writing a book about it but not in this arena. I’ll keep you updated as there are updates.)
But, for now, lets focus on the new upcoming events. I have the first book of Cian and Molly’s story done and the remaining two of the trilogy outlined. WHEW! I’m excited to finish them and that is the only WIPS I am working on as I promised to have it earlier in the summer and things…LIFE… got in the way.
Anyway, we are homeschooling again this year but adding our 8th grader (our youngest. Her brother will graduate in November with plans to go to college in January.) Hope the heat moderates for us ALL!

Wow! Hasn’t this been exciting? I don’t know about you but I’ve always been a fan of old westerns and more than half in love with dusty old cowboys—and the sterner, the better. John Wayne definitely fueled many of my girlhood daydreams, alongside Sam Elliot and Clint Eastwood. Now, we have Gabe, John, Jeb, Bo and the rest of those dominant men of Culpepper Cove. I hope you’ll find Tripp and Diamond’s story to be fuel for some of your own daydreams.
It didn’t take long for Diamond to start telling me her story. When I heard about The Red Petticoat Saloon Series, I wasn’t sure that I could participate, but Diamond is a woman who won’t be ignored. She demanded her place in the series and she got it. Although, I have to say a big, giant thank you to Maggie Ryan, my co-author.
Sometimes, no matter how vividly the characters talk to you, life happens and you just don’t get a chance to tell their stories. This was the case with my story, Diamond in the Rough. If, not for Maggie, Tripp and Diamond would still be buried on my hard drive with a slew of other unfinished works.
Thank you, Maggie. As always, you make me look good—and I hope you already know I’d be lost without you. Thank you for helping bring these amazing characters to life.
And to our readers, I hope you will fall in love with Culpepper Cove and the Red Petticoat Saloon family.
Marshal Tripp Houston makes his own luck and doesn’t believe in chance—until Lady Luck smiles up at him with her cat-like green eyes. If it’s the last thing he does, Tripp is dead set on bringing down the vile Shotgun Slick Gang. It’s been said that the outlaws have a woman traveling with them. Tripp is almost certain that woman is Diamond, especially with her sneaking around and asking lots of questions. But, if he’s wrong, and she is the innocent she proclaims, then once every last slimy one of the gang are swinging from a tree, he plans to hand in his tin star and settle down with the little card-dealing gem who ran away with not only his horse, but his heart as well. After all, he knows just how to tame a feisty gem.
Diamond won’t take no for an answer, especially when it comes to those bossy men of Culpepper Cove standing in the way of finding her sister Damaris—not even when it means she will end up with a hot, achy backside over the knee of one very stubborn lawman. The trail she’d been following for months led her to Culpepper Cove and The Red Petticoat Saloon where she entertains the men while dealing blackjack and sifting through their conversations for information that will help her find Damaris—but she doesn’t go upstairs. That is until the night she makes a silly bet, (it had worked for Jewel, hadn’t it?) and ends up falling for the man who tried her patience at every turn. Will the bet cost more than her virginity? She hadn’t wagered her heart, but she may very well have lost it to him already.
DISCLAIMER: This book contains the spanking of adult women and explicit sexual scenes including anal play. If any of these offend you, please do not purchase this book.
That fear at least was quelled when the marshal held the door open to her and then promptly locked it behind himself. They were alone in the room. She stood frozen, looking at the empty tubs in the center of the room.
“Go ahead and undress while I fill the tub.” The man walked right by her. She couldn’t believe he expected her to just disrobe. Then she remembered that though there was no concealing wall or even a curtain between the two tubs, there was a privacy screen in one corner. She forced herself not to run towards it though she was suddenly desperate to hide behind its concealment.
“Oh, no, ladybug. You will be naked before me, so there is no reason for you to hide yourself over there. You can just strip right where you are.”
She glared at him as mortification filled every part of her being. He was bent on shaming her. This wasn’t just some conquest or a prize won and savored. He meant to humiliate her. She turned away from him and her fingers came to the buttons at her neck with trepidation at first. Then slowly as she made it down the row, her irritation built until she stood tall and proud. She would not cower before him or allow herself to be shamed. She was a beautiful, independent woman. She would not let him know how much he affected her.
She stalled only a moment more before pulling her dress from her shoulders. It slid down her sides and landed in a puddle at her feet. Delaney felt naked already and she still had her chemise and petticoat before she even got to her… unmentionables. She peeked back at him as he carried one of the buckets of water that had been heating over the fire to the nearest iron tub. Heat flushed her face when she met his eyes. He was still watching her even though he was pouring the water.
“Keep going, I want you naked,” he said, returning to the fire for the next pail.
A little about Abbie Adams:
Abbie is a little girl at heart. She has always lived in a make-believe world, unwilling to share her fantasies with anyone for fear they would laugh at her, or worse, lock her up. She struggles with her desires to have a daddy who will keep her in line and yet baby her constantly. She writes to stay sane; this is her therapy.
Hiding her secret desires hasn’t helped her, but sharing it with you, those of you who might also enjoy the same yearnings, well, that makes her happy. Come live inside Abbie’s head if you dare.

#1 International and USA Today bestselling author for Blushing Books. I write both contemporary erotica and historical spanking romances. I enjoy writing about characters that enjoy the provocative D/S lifestyle of today’s times, as well as taking a step back into the past to write stories that take place in the Victorian era with age-play as a theme.
I live in the great Lone Star state with my wonderful husband. I have always loved reading. Growing up in a family with four children, it was difficult finding a place to be alone. I was probably one of the squeakiest clean girls on the planet as I would spend hours in the tub so I could read without being bothered. It wasn’t long before I began to make up my own endings to the books I was reading. From there, it just seemed natural to begin writing my own stories.
I never try to restrict myself to any one genre because there are just too many delicious possibilities out there and inside my head. I admit to being somewhat of a romantic, though, as my stories always must have a great deal of love, passion, corporal discipline and, of course, great, mind-blowing sex. I want my readers to be able to see, hear, feel and know the characters that I’m creating as well as I do when I bring them to life and transfer their stories to paper. I want my women to be strong of character but also strong enough to know that submission given in love and trust to your partner does not make you weaker, it makes you far stronger. I want my men to be sexy, strong, demanding alpha males who know how to take what they want while acknowledging it is a gift they have been blessed with by the women that have chosen to submit to them. I want there to be no doubt that they truly would die for the other no matter how others might view their relationship.

My Sassy Settler: Willamette Wives Book Two
My Capricious Cowgirl: Willamette Wives Book Four
This is Tess’ second book with Blushing, her first historical Western was The Sheriff Takes a Bride and now, she brings us, Cassidy’s Gentleman.Tess has joined the crazy and rewarding world of writers in our Blushing Family. I truly enjoyed her first book and look forward to this second one, written in my favorite place and time: Texas 1880’s…wonder if Cassidy ever met my Texanna?
Let’s have a peek inside Cassidy’s Gentleman…
Texas in the 1880s was no place for a tenderfoot. Thornton Steele is a gentleman from the East, but he came to run a ranch, and he has the strength and determination to do so. He dreams of starting a new life, free of the strictures of his traditional Maryland family, and he is ready and willing to take on whatever barriers are put in his way. The lawless West of the time provides those barriers in plenty.
Cassidy Hart, a Texas native, shares that dream of starting her life over in another place, but she, by her own account, is no lady. Daughter of an unwed mother, she takes care of herself the best she can in the same little town where she was born, even though the wide-open sky is the only roof she can call her own. She is tough, because she has to be, but sensitive, because that’s the way her mother raised her before dying young.
The gentleman and the not-quite lady are thrown together by circumstance, and the attraction is instantaneous. Still, Cassidy cannot help but doubt the Easterner’s sincerity, and pushes back, even as she is drawn to his strength, charm, and good looks.
Thornton, being a man who knows what he wants, wastes no time attempting to prove his love and concern for Cassidy’s well being. Oftentimes, however, to Cassidy’s chagrin, he demonstrates that concern with his strict hand on her bare bottom.
That, of course, is not the end of the lesson, and Cassidy soon learns to look forward to the soft caresses and kisses that follow a session over the big man’s lap.
Cassidy’s Gentleman is a story of love and fun, intrigue and violence in the scarcely tamed West. It also is a true romance, with plenty of loving domestic discipline in the form of spanking.
Publisher’s Note: Cassidy’s Gentleman is a romance novel that contains descriptions of sex and of domestic discipline in the form of bare-bottom spanking and paddling. If such subject matter offends you, please do not read this book.
“Get back, Thorne, I’m warning you.” Cassidy picked up a vase and held it up.
“Do not threaten me, little girl. If you throw that vase you are only adding to your
The vase whizzed by Thorne and smashed on the opposite wall.
Thorne grabbed Cassidy by the elbow.
“Now, Cassidy, I am going to teach you not to be an ungrateful foul-mouthed brat.”
“Let me go, you overgrown ox, I warn you, you better let me go or you will be sorry!”
“No, little girl, I am sure you are the only one who will be sorry.”
Thorne pulled Cassidy toward the study.
“What is going on in here? We heard a crash!”
“Tillie, you and Gus go back to what you were doing, Cassidy and I are going to have a
discussion in the study.”
“No, Tillie, please,” Cassidy shrieked. “He has lost his mind.”
“Cassidy, why are you afraid of Mr. Thorne?”
“I will tell you why, Tillie, she is afraid because Mr. Thorne has had enough of her bratty
behavior and he is going to spank her backside till it glows crimson red.”
“Let’s go Tillie, this ain’t none of our affair,” added Gus.
Tillie gave Cassidy a painful smile and walked away.
“No, Tillie, please don’t—”
