Here is a nibble of what’s inside…
Once upon a time, I was a monster.
A predator who seized women just to get my kicks.
And then along came Lily. Lily—the light that chased my demons away.
Consumed with love for her, I finally put the sins of those torrid times behind me, until one dark day, everything changes.
I’m lured back into the shadows, the monster awoken again and now it will take every ounce of Lily’s submission to pull me back from the brink.
My betrayal sends our lives into a spiral of despair, and with justice looming on the horizon, it’s time we faced The End.
Forbidden is a gripping, powerful, and emotional page turner with a breathtaking climax for fans of dark romance with a twist of true crime.
It is the second in The Dark Necessities Prequels trilogy.
LETS TAKE A BITE of DANGER:
They spent the next few hours eating and shopping together. It was almost normal, and as he slid his fingers between hers, Ethan was able to delude himself. This was normal. They were like any other young couple out on the sunny autumn afternoon. It was only when they made their way to the local pet supplies store that the low-lying thrum of arousal between them began to burgeon again.
“Can I help you?”
The older man in the apron stood behind the counter and eyed them suspiciously as Ethan pulled Lily inside. The place was tiny, and they didn’t have much in the way of stock, but it would have to do. For now at least.
“I’m looking for a few basic supplies,” began Ethan as he strode toward the counter. “A leather collar, good, sturdy leash and, if you have one, a large pet bed?”
Ethan looked around and couldn’t see any evidence of pet beds at all, but since he was here, he thought he’d ask.
“Only what you see, pal,” remarked the older man.
Ethan’s gaze slid to Lily’s coloring face. The pet bed would have to wait for the time being.
“What size collar do you need?” His irritating northern lilt washed over Ethan, but he ignored the tone.
Nothing was going to ruin this moment.
Ethan eyed Lily’s neck, his gaze lingering until she panted. “Do you have anything suitable for a medium-sized dog?” he asked without even glancing back to the assistant.
“What breed?” huffed the older man. “Spaniel?”
That made Ethan’s lips curl. “Maybe a little bigger,” he replied, winking at his little flower. “Slightly larger than a spaniel.”
The man sauntered out from behind the counter and gestured toward a selection of leather collars on the left. “Something like this?” he suggested, pulling one from the rack and holding it aloft for Ethan to see.
Ethan shifted in his direction, inspecting the collar. “Do you have anything softer?”
The assistant threw him a skeptical glance. “You don’t want to go too soft,” he warned. “Your dog needs to learn his place.”
“Her place,” Ethan corrected him.
The older guy blinked at him. “Okay, her place.”
“Agreed,” said Ethan with a smile. His cock was rousing at all this talk of pet play, and he imagined how wet Lily’s pussy was likely to be. “But, I don’t want to hurt her.”
He reached for the collar in the man’s hands, rubbing his fingers over the unrelenting leather.
“What about this one?” The older guy pointed toward another row of collars nearer the floor.
Ethan turned to Lily. “What do you think of this one, darling?”
Her eyes widened as he referred to her directly, and slowly, she walked to join them. “I’m not sure.” Lily’s imploring gaze flitted to Ethan’s.
“Take a look,” Ethan insisted as he gestured to the selection the assistant meant. “We want to make sure it’s right for our little doggie, don’t we?”
Lily gulped as she leaned her body toward the collars. Ethan watched as she reached out for one with a shaky hand.
“Show me.”
His tone was commanding now, and her attention was back on him in a heartbeat. It was as though the guy from the shop had vanished altogether.
Slowly, she pulled one of the collars from its place and handed it to Ethan. He took it from her, ensuring their fingers grazed as the leather was passed from one hand to the other. This collar was much softer than the first, but looked easily large enough to fit comfortably.
“Perfect,” he mused, offering Lily his hand to help her up as he spoke directly to the assistant again. “And the leashes.”
“Just behind you,” the old man muttered as he wandered back to his counter. “Choose what you like and I’ll price them up for you.”
Ethan squeezed Lily’s hand as she came to stand beside him again.
